Thanks for the info on freezing strawberries/blueberries. Such good deals on them. Usually they end up going bad before I end up eating them all.

Now I can really save by freezing them!!

I flash freeze all of my berries on a cookie sheet. Then seal them with my food saver. They taste GREAT in smoothies...and you don't have to add ice when you put the berries in frozen. This past weekend I made hubby and I a smoothie w/ vanilla yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries with the juice of 1 grapefruit and about a 1/4 c pineapple juice. It was amazing!!

CRUISES72,I freeze my blueberries non-washed and dry, but I wash and slice (or if your preference is whole) strawberries with or without sugar in freezer bags with as much air as possible removed. I really don't like them whole unless you are using them for smoothies or such. I find my sliced ones keep better if I put some sugar on them before freezing.
