Lowes Foods Super Doubles Good deals list

Posted February 7, 2012

Here is the updated list of Super Doubles deals for Lowes Foods starting on Wednesday, 2/8. I'll update the list again on Tuesday afternoon once I see the ad and have a chance to look through the store again for sales that are continuing. There are some very good deals to be had and there will be more once we see the ad.

Most of the prices listed below I found at the Lowes Foods in Cary on Tryon and Cary Parkway or through the online Express Lane. Those listed below include items that are regularly priced (and may go on sale in the ad which we will see Tuesday afternoon) and those now on sale that will continue to be on sale during at least part of super doubles, based on the shelf tags at the store. If they are only on sale for part of super doubles, I have indicated that information below.

I also tried to make sure I have only included coupons that can be doubled and do not have the dreaded “Do Not Double” on the coupon since the Super Doubles coupon policy clearly states they will no double coupons that indicate Do Not Double on them.If I listed one that has Do Not Double on it (and I just didn't see it) please let me know so I can remove it.

Most of the coupons listed came from our local newspaper or are printable coupons. A few came from other areas of the country and were ordered from sites like thecouponclippers.com. I have them in my binder, so I know some of you do as well, which is why I included them. Some of the printable coupons are no longer available, but I included them because, again, some of you will still have them.

Super Doubles Details and Policies

The promotion will run from February 8 - February 14th.

Store will begin Super Doubling coupons when the store opens on 2/8.

They will double coupons that are $1.98 or less.

They will double up to 20 coupons per day.

They will double up to 3 identical coupons.

They will not allow you to do separate orders that result in doubling more than 20 coupons per day.

They will not double Do Not Double coupons according to the policy.

The policy also indicates that no rainchecks will be given for out-of-stock items.

Regarding competitor's coupons: most Lowes Foods will NOT accept coupons from the drug stores because they don't have pharmacies in their stores. With that said, some will, so just ask. The on eat 42/50 will not, but the one on Tryon and Cary Parkway took my ECB's this weekend.

Please, post any other deals you find!

I think that you have misunderstood. LF doubles many coupons automatically that say DND everyday based upon how they are coded - something over which the manufacturer has complete control. I would guess that if you demanded they reduce each coupon to its original amount they would be much more inconvenienced than grateful. This is a new promotion and Faye had no more information than the rest of us regarding whether these would continue to double during the promotion. The deals you refer to would be good prices regardless of whether the coupon doubled, and in full disclosure, she wanted us to be aware. She was respecting the coupon policy. I would tend to agree with you if Faye had suggested that we use a coupon for the wrong product - but that is not the case, and she would never do that.

I try to reserve moral judgment, but some would say that to accuse someone who is merely trying to help us all live within our means, of something as serious as theft, is bad karma.

I am having a very hard time with the fact that you are stating that a coupon specifically says DO NOT DOUBLE and you are telling people to try to use them in case the system does not catch it.
No matter how you say it that is stealing and VERY bad Karma!
Couponers get a bad enough name by clearing the shelves do we really want to be labeled as thieves also?
Couponing has saved my family financially for many years now and I firmly believe in doing it the right way even if I don’t get everything for free.

sbigham3, the jury is still out for me too. Not sure that it will be worth a trip with all the restrictions on what will double but glad they are trying to have some new promotions for us.

The ad for SD is on the lowes foods website now and I wm workign on the match-ups:

I don't know about everyone else, but this event isn't looking like too much to get excited about in my opinion. Wondering if unadvertised deals will pop up to add a little more incentive to even go.

  • mmfm76 Feb 7, 2012

From their Facebook page: "Lowes Foods No raincheck covering the super double coupon. If it is a sale item, we will provide a raincheck, but if used later we will not super double the coupon. Thanks!"

So they will issue rainchecks, but it may not be as good a deal later without the super doubles.

  • terr19 Feb 7, 2012

sbigham3- I looked on Lowes facebook. Someone asked the same question about doubling internet coupons. Lowes responded stating they would double if it did not say do not double.

finesse - The Marcal small steps napkins package that I saw in the store this morning is $1.99. The coupon we received here in the Triangle in the N&0 (that I am looking at now) is for $1.00 off 1 and does not indicate Do Not Double. With this coupon, 1 package will be free because the coupon will double up to the price of the product.

Buck - your coupons will double up to the price of the product. You will not get overage.

  • jessie3 Feb 7, 2012

The marcal is .99 and the $1/2 makes it free. Buck JJJ- they should adjust the coupon down. Tell them to contact their customer service about that- they just adjust it to be .99

  • finesse187 Feb 7, 2012

Hmmm. my marcel coupon says $1 off 2 napkins.
