The Mega Event is still going on at Kroger this week with good buys on Hunt's tomatoes, Steamfresh veggies, Boca veggie burgers and more! You will also find deals on tomatoes, pears and split chicken breasts. These deals are valid from 1/29 – 2/4.

Kroger Coupon Policy Basics

Doubles coupons up to . 50 at Kroger stores in the Raleigh, NC area

Many Kroger stores in the area now allow 5 identical coupons per day (check with your store about their limits)

No total limits of coupons doubled per day

Senior Citizen Discount on Tuesday’s: If you are born on or before 1954, receive a 5% discount on total grocery bill (excludes alcohol, tobacco and prescriptions)

Kroger digital e-coupons can be found at the link in the box above. You cannot couple a digital coupon with a paper coupon at Kroger. If you have a digital coupon loaded to your card, the register will automatically deduct it and will not allow you to use the paper coupon. Digital coupons do not double. Fuel Rewards: Save up to $1 per gallon at Kroger gas stations when you redeem up to 1000 fuel points. Save 10 cents per gallon at participating Shell when you redeem 100 fuel points. For more information on the fuel rewards, Click HERE.

Mega Event: Game Day Greats Mega Event is taking place again this week. Save $5 instantly at checkout when you buy any 10 participating items. You have to buy all 10 in the same transaction using our Kroger’s reward card. Basically, you get .50 per item with the promotion. There are a number of participating items listed in the ad but there are always more in store so make sure you bring your coupons. Here are some of the better deals from the ad with the discount:

Ragu pasta sauce $1.29 after discount - $1.25/3 coupon from 1/29 RP = .87 each

Pepsi soft drinks, 2 ltr, .99 after discount

I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, 8-16 oz., $1.79 after discount - .60 coupon from 1/29 RP = $1.19 each

Kraft singles 16 count $1.99 after discount - .55/2 coupon 1/15 SS = $1.72 each

Boca meatless entrees (found in natural foods section), $2.49 after discount - $1/2 coupon from 1/8 SS = $1.99 each (a good price for these)

DiGiorno pizza $4.49 after discount - $3/2 tear pad coupon found on displays near the frozen food section or on the door in front of the pizza, $2/2 coupon from 1/29 RP = $2.99 after $3/2 coupon (great deal for DiGiorno)

Bell peppers, red, yellow or orange, $1 each (but Aldi often has then for less)

Tyson split chicken breasts, drumsticks or thighs .99/lb – good price

Kroger ground beef, 75% lean, 3 lb roll, $5.97 ($1.99/lb) – this is a good deal for ground beef if you eat the 75% lean

Smithfield bacon, 16 oz., $3.00 - $1 coupon from 1/29 SS = $2.00

Tyson boneless chicken breasts or tenderloins, frozen, 2.25 – 2.7 lb bag or Tyson chicken wings, frozen, 2.5 lb bag BOGO for $5.50 ($2.04/lb if you buy the 2.7 lb bag) – a good price

Johnsonville cooked sausage 13.5 – 14 oz., $3 - $1/2 coupon from 1/22 SS = $2.50 each (if chicken sausage is included, there is a $1/1 coupon from 1/1 SS making them $2.

Dairy & Frozen

Kroger cheese, 6-8 oz., $1.66 – a decent price although I usually wait until it is $1.50 or less per 8 oz to buy

Kroger ice cream or sherbet, 48 oz, $2.50

Tombstone frozen pizza 3 for $10


Nature’s Own honey wheat bread, 20 oz., BOGO for $1.60

Big K soft drinks, 12 pack cans $2.50

Non Food

    iwannasave0703 - I'm not Faye, but... BOGOs ring up at half price. You don't have to buy both.

    Also, FYI.... There are a lot more Mega Sale items than the ones in the ad, so bring your coupon binder with you...

    Does Kroger have the same policy about BOGO's as HT? I wasn't sure, but wanted to check before I went there today. Can you purchase one and it ring up half price?
