There is a fantastic deal at Food Lion right now making their My Essentials brand 6 oz. yogurt singles super cheap!

The yogurt is part of the Store Brand Super Sale, which works like this:

Buy 4 store brand items, Save $1 off next order (in the form of a coupon for $1 off your next order. You do not save $1 on that transaction)

Buy 6 store brand items, Save $1.50 off next order

Buy 8 store brand items, Save $2.00 off next order

Buy 10 store brand items, Save $2.50 off next order

Buy 20 store brand items, Save $5.00 off next order

Buy 40 store brand items, Save $10.00 off next order

Basically, you save .25 off each item after reward. It does not come off at the register during that transaction, but you get a coupon with the reward that you can use on the next transaction.

Here's how the yogurt deal works:

The yogurt sells for .22 each every day.

I bought 8 containers of yogurt for .22 each plus tax. I paid $1.76 plus 4 cents tax for a total of $1.80.

I then bought 8 more and 1 packet of Kool-Aid (.25 each). I bought the Kool-Aid so I had more than $2 total and could use the $2 register coupon from the previous transaction with no beeping.

The total after coupon came to 1 cent!

I then did the transaction again buying another 8 yogurts and a Kool-Aid packet and using the $2 register coupon that I received from the transaction before and the total was again 1 cent! So, for $1.80 I bought 24 yogurts making them 7 cents each and 2 Kool-Aid lemonade packets (that I will make with Truvia for the kids to enjoy with their yogurt after school today)!

We each usually eat a yogurt container per day so the 24 containers will last us about a week - for only $1.82! They make great smoothies with skim milk, 1/2 a frozen banana (optional), a little crushed ice and the container of yogurt. Delicious for a snack or breakfast.

I also lile that there are a bunch of different flavors including peach, raspberry, blueberry, honey, vanilla, strawberry, mixed berry, strawberry cheesecake, cherry vanilla, lemon, key lime and many more.

AND I have another $2 register coupon from the last transaction to roll into buying more yogurt next week when we run out of this stash. The Store Brand Super Sale goes through February 7th so we will be eating nearly free yogurt for weeks!

***Important*** Before you have the cashier ring up the yogurts, make sure the coupon machine is working. Ask him or her if the coupon printer has been printing out coupons today. If not, you may want to go to a different register. If your coupon does not print out, go to customer service and they should give you a gift card for the amount of the register coupon.
