Food Lion deals 1/4

Posted January 3, 2012

Food Lion has some good deals this week on tomatoes, broccoli, chicken breast, tilapia, London broil, yogurt and more! They have one of the lowest prices on London broil I have seen in a while: $2.49/lb. These deals are valid 1/4/2012- 1/10/2012.

Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons.

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad.

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

E-Coupons: You can now load RedPlum.com manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

$5 off $30 coupon: There is a coupon at the in-store coupon kiosk for $5 off your $30 purchase. Remember, Lowes Foods and Harris Teeter accept competitor’s coupons for a total off your total order – just like this one!

General Mills Box Tops Promotion: Buy 5 General Mills Box Tops products using your MVP card and get $2 off instantly and 20 bonus box tops.

the hunts q is for either - so you should be able to mix and match. I bought 10 of the diced tomatoes with the assumption I will use them by July 2013! (I am sure I will use them in the next few months!)
I also scored some good deals in the holiday clearance - they had the crayola princess sets that were originally 12.99 marked down to 3.25 (my dd will for surely go to 3 different little girls birthday parties over the next few months).

I wish I had read this before I went to HT this morning. Could have saved myself 5.00 more bucks. Oh well. I'll have to buy fruit and veggies by the weekend so I'll just use it at FL.

eparkinsmwilson - yes! You can take that to other grocery stores and they accept it as a "competitor" coupon :) Hand that coupon by itself to the cashier after they total your order, then hand them the manufacturer coupons.

    Nice huh? :)

Momboozer - the kiosk coupons may specify that you have to buy 10 of one kind to use the coupon, so you won't know until you see what the kiosk coupon reads. I suspect it's 10 for the hunts sauce ($2 off purchase of 10) and then a different coupon for the tomatoes.

When you say:$5 off $30 coupon: There is a coupon at the in-store coupon kiosk for $5 off your $30 purchase. Remember, Lowes Foods and Harris Teeter accept competitor’s coupons for a total off your total order – just like this one!

Does that mean I need to go to Foodlion to get this coupon and take to Lowes Foods and they will honor it? I never knew about this!!

Could you mix/match the hunts kiosk coupon? ie. 5 sauce and 5 tomatoes or is it 10 of each?

My buy price for 50 oz liquid laundry detergent is $2 or less so for 100 oz it would be $4 or less. Tide is almost always the most expensive. I tend to find good deals on All, Arm & Hammer and Wisk.

What is a good buy price for 100 oz detergent?
