It's time to save at consignment sales!

Posted January 3, 2012

The spring and summer consignment sales are now on the calendar at Go Ask Mom and there are plenty of opportunities to save money buying gently used items. You can also earn some extra money by selling at the consignment sales. Click the consignment sale link in the box above for a full list of upcoming sales by county. Wake County has 21 sales on the list with the first starting in mid February.

Feel free to post here if you have a favorite consignment sale you visit every year.

My favorite consignment sale is the TMOTT (Triangle Mothers of Twins & Triplets) -- of course I am partial since I have twins :)

They really weed through the stuff and things are in great condition (or the sellers get fined). So most things are in fantastic shape and reasonable prices. I know I went through my merchandise about 6 times looking for stains, holes, or missing pieces! I didn't want to get fined or banned from future sales!

This year's sale is on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Make sure you bring something to carry your stuff in!

If you know someone who is a member, you can go on Friday evening with a pass that costs $5 (I think . . . )
