CVS deals 1/1/2012

CVS has some very good deals on Colgate toothpaste, Nivea lip care, and Skinny Cow candy (if we get the expected coupons in the paper on 1/1)! The rest of the ad is a little mellow, but the freebies are worth a trip to the store if you have the right coupons.

These deals are valid 1/1/2012 - 1/7/2012.

***ALERT***Pantene clearance at CVS - The Pantene Restore Beautiful Lengths conditioner, 8.5 oz, is ringing up on clearance for $1.57 (usually over $6). Use the $3/2 Pantene coupon from 1/1 PG and they are 7 cents each!

Fruitopia clearane: The Fruitopia Total Volume Conditioner, 13.5 oz rang up at $1.74 today (reg. $3.49). Use the $1.50 coupon from the CVS Reinventing Beauty magazine and it is .24 after coupon! I bought 2 Pantene and 1 Fruitopia and paid 38 cents plus tax. Total would have been $16.07 at full retail (which we would never pay of course).

I have also read on some other sites where the large bottles of some Pantene scents are also on clearance but the 40/42 location was sold out.

Also - CVS quarterly ECB's are printing out at the coupon kiosk now. I had $8.50 waiting for me today. :-)

Skinny cow candy was 4.99 in Carrboro as well but I still bought it. Not a bad price on a box of candy for .75. They will be some nice lunch box treats for me for a while and maybe i can feel less guilty about them after all the holiday baking and eating I have done.

Hmmm...my Skinny Cow boxes did ring up BOGO, but at $4.99 (!) per box, so they ended up being .75 each after the BOGO Q max at $3.48. This was at the store on MLK near the new Wal-Mart in Durham. The display was on an end cap with no pricing signage towards the back of the store, near the oral care and feminine product aisles. I was thinking they would be free after coupon, but should have caught on since it was afternoon and the display was still full!

Bought 2 Pantene Products, 4 Nivea lip care sticks, 2 Dawn dish detergents, 2 Charmin 9-packs, 1 Colgate Total Advance and 4 Covergirl Eyeshadows for $26.69 (after various coupons and $7 ECB from previous purchases). I applied a $10 GC from promotion before Christmas, earned a $10 CVS Cash Card, and walked away with $11 ECB-not too shabby!

I had to pay a little extra for the skinny cow candy. The max on the coupon was $3.49 and the box was a little over $4. They would only give me $3.49 off. I did get $1.50 in ECBs back so not bad for 4 boxes.

I was surprised that they didn't have more of the Skinny Cow in the store, eje. That location gets a truck in on Friday so they may get more then.

eje - the sale is in the ad on page 5 at the top left corner of the page. Look for the picture of Snickers and Dove candy and then read the text under it. It includes the Skinny cow candy.
