Food Lion deals 12/28

Posted December 28, 2011

Food Lion has some good buys this week on cantaloupe, yogurt singles, Coke and more.  These deals are valid 12/28 – 1/3/2012.

Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

E-Coupons: You can now load RedPlum.com manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

shelley - different prices for different regions is common with some chain stores, so yes, that's probably what's going on :(

my local ad showed the cantalope at 2.50 each. Is that just my area? I'm in Mebane

I looked at the Fred Meyer ad, and the prices weren't that much different than the prices here in NC. We can sometimes get a better deal, but they weren't that out of whack. The grocery stores (like Food Lion) in the mountains of NC run about that high as well.

yukon - everything has to be brought into Alaska, hence the very high cost of living. And also the reason for the oil pipeline dividend fund for every resident of the state (including infants).

When nothing is produced locally and it all comes from the lower 48, yup, it's going to be very expensive :(

If you want to see how inexpensive it is to live in NC, check out our sales ads from Fred Meyer (Kroger) store in Fairbanks, AK.

The .22 ME yogurt is the regular price (at least has been for awhile). Definitely a deal!
