trublondmom715-one of my Aunt's always serves homemade lasagna...and the best part is that the leftovers get better in the fridge! Of course, lasagna is not a budget friendly meal unless you have free pasta and cheap cheese!

Thanks Faye! I would love to fix something different for Christmas but also need something that will provide extra meals so I don't spend all my time in the kitchen. Does anybody here do a main course that isn't ham or turkey that can feed a crowd?

trublond - through today (Tuesday), Food lion has the best price on spiral sliced ham at $1.29/lb. Kroger has then until Saturday at $1.49/lb. Target has frozen turkey breast for .99/lb. Food Lion also has Smithfield shank portion smoked ham for $1.39/lb and Smithfield spiral sliced ham $1.69/lb - $3 coupon from All You Magazine November.

Monday - I got Christmas Sausage at our holiday gift exchange, so I'm making a hashbrown and sausage casserole tonight.

Tuesday - a whole chicken ($0.69/lb last week at Food Lion), brown rice, corn, and broccoli ($0.99 for two heads at Aldi).

Wednesday - I made Turkey Noodle Lentil Soup yesterday, so we'll be having that on Wednesday along with Sandwiches

Thursday - Spaghetti (noodles free at Teeter when Mueller's was on sale), Wolfgang Puck Sauce (free at Teeter during super doubles), and Boca Chicken Patties (super cheap during the last Teeter triples) for "Ficken Parmesan." Fake Chicken. Get it. :)

Friday - We will probably order pizza or go out using a Groupon.

Salmon burgers tonight and tomorrow a crock pot of chili with enough to freeze some for "those nights" when cooking is not possible. Also we are using up the last two weeks of CitiPass coupons before they expire on 12/31
