Rescuepets - ROFL, I never watched the show but did google that and bust out laughing!!! Oh my!

One year I received a coffee mug that had a gingerbread man as the handle. Unfortunately, said gingerbread man had a striking resemblance to South Park's Mr. Hanky- google it if you don't know the reference. :) To this day, if I try to use it, my husband will shout, "Howdy-ho!"

Thanks for sharing your teacher gift experiences everyone! These are great!

My husband was a teacher and used to get a wide range of Christmas presents. The best were definitely the handmade ornaments or baskets of Christmas goodies. The strangest was a 24-piece puzzle of a kitten. It might make sense if he taught elementary school and the student picked it out, but he taught middle school. We were definitely scratching our heads on that one.

I don't know if anyone has ever collected these types of stories from teachers and put them in a book, but what a GREAT book it would be!!! I'm sure there are great laughs to be enjoyed, like the wrinkle cream and the fertility goddess statue out there that could fill a book! LOL I know I would buy it for each of my three sisters who were teachers!

A 22 year old teacher I worked with a few years ago was given wrinkle cream by a student : ) We had quite a laugh about that one.

My most bizarre gift was definitely the african fertility goddess statue from a family when my twins were 2. Really? I conceived identical twins a month into my husband & I first "trying", don't need any help in that department! I shared that gift with a coworker that was having issues in that department and she went on to have two beautiful children :)

Well, it is not funny or bizarre, but my favorite types of gifts are when former students come back to visit, like the recent graduate who is a Navy corpsman who wanted to tell me how much my anatomy class helped him!
