Wow - thank you for all the food donations!

I am amazed and thrilled at the number of food donations you all brought to the coupon swap and the class in Fuquay today! We filled 2 grocery carts to overflowing between the 2 events and it was all donated to the Lowes Foods Friends Feeding Friends food drive this evening.

The manager at the Lowes Foods on Hwy 42 and Hwy 50 (Tom in the picture above) was really impressed with all the food. Above is a picture of the cart we filled with the coupon swap donations from this morning.

Your donations will go to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. I saw a lot of fun foods in there as well as some really healthy options including whole grain pasta, high fiber cereal, canned veggies, canned fruit and so much more.

I also want to thank you for all the donations to the homeless project for Garner Church of God. Nancy brought them all to Christina and they should help many of these folks who are struggling.

Lowes Foods will be accepting any non-perishable donations through the end of the year at all of their stores so if you did not get a chance to donate today, you can donate anytime at your local Lowes Foods.
