Have a question that doesn't fit into any of the other threads? Here's the place to ask it.

I hope you have a terrific Tuesday! Remember, it's the last day to enter the contest to win the facial in Cary. Click on the link in the link in the box above for "Friday freebies and giveaway" to enter.

The cutoff for entering is 12 noon on Tuesday and I will randomly draw and post the winning name sometime around 2, when I return to the computer.

Yes Packy. It was the hardest year of my life.

My current budget isn't nearly as restrictive, $2 per person per day. With 5 of us, that's $300 a month.

Oh! laidy, I'll be collecting for Christina for her church for those items at the swap! I've already lined up to connect with her at the church after the swap :) So no need for you to find the church at all, just bring the items to the swap, she'll be thrilled!!!

Thank you Nancy for the number. I will be going to garner on Thursday for the CFA event, do you know far is the church from CFA? I am not too familiar with the area, but I will most deffinatly bring my items for that cause :).

Hi Laidy!! Well, there is a church in Garner that is in need of personal care items as they are putting together packages for the homeless, so deodorants, shampoos, toothpaste, toothbrushes etc are in need. One of the posters here is spearheading this effort through her church, Garner Church of God. You can call and line up a time to meet someone there to drop off, they would be thrilled! The phone number is

919-772-1899 and ask to speak with JD, Jeremy or Debbie or Christina and they will happily take what you have :)

Hey ladies. I have been out of the loop for a while due to work and finals but I really want to donate some items. Any suggestion? I have a lot of eye shadows, blushes, tooth paste and tooth brushes as well as shampoo and soap. I would love to go to the swap tonight but I can't. Thank you.

WF, that's awesome advice! We do not lack in activities that's for sure. Think I'll do that tonight at ball practice :)

oxy, are you saying you fed your family for 1k per year??????

  • Packy Dec 6, 2011

good points, Oxy! I think another key tool is the menu planner. WHEN I do those (lol) it's just so much more economical and lets not forget less stressful.

And I totally have NO time for swamps right now. I started to sign up for the one in FV that was just blogged bout but I knew I wouldn't be able to make it. Maybe after the first of the year.
