Mega Swagbucks Friday!

It is Mega Swagbucks Friday again. Today is the day they award larger than normal Swagbucks just for using them to search as you normally would during the day.

How do you get these super Swagbucks? Each time you need to search for something online, use the Swagbucks search engine. I actually have the Swag Bucks toolbar installed on my desktop and it places a search box right on my screen making it super easy to search. There are also a number of other ways to earn Swag Bucks including taking surveys, answering polls, watching videos and more.

Chairman - I knew you were joking - no harm done. :-) I actually agree with you on the burgers. I don't eat hamburgers (or any ground meat) at all. Can't take grissle! lol

It could be that Savingstar is selling the info like other web sites have done for years.

I spoke to a customer service individual who informed me that they receive a significant amount of their data from 3rd party sites, and specifically stated couponing sites, although she wouldn't say which ones. SavingsStar was the only site I gave my real personal information to. The Spokeo people did remove it but I am weary about using those sites.

I do appreciate you and Faye talking about the deals, I got a little cynnical yesterday about McDonalds but it was meant to be a joke. I never did any coupons before I started checking out this blog area and now I am impressed at what I save!

Chairman, the reason I'm so sure SavingStar is not the cause of that information is that I had a need to check online for a person 3 years ago, used Spokeo and Pipl searches and all that information was out there, long before SavingStar began their program.

Just like the ability to pull peoples tax records are available online, it's just public information :(

Chairman, are you sure SavingStar is selling your personal information? I've not seen it happen. The public information you referenced on the Spokeo site is from public records, not purchased info.

I've used Swagbucks for well over a year without problems.

Does Swagbucks sell your information? I am weary of using that after finding out SavingStar was selling my personal information, including telephone number, to 3rd parties.

I've used ebates before without issue. They used to just mail you a check. Not sure what they do now. I started using the upromise site when my nephews were born so I could get the savings for their 529 accounts so I gave up ebates.
