  • j3434 Nov 15, 2011

kjohnson--i have had success 2 different weeks w/ the cvs giftcard promo. 1st week i got a shell card. then the next week i had more to get at cvs that wasn't included, so i got a cvs card and used it on my 2nd transaction. i may even do another one this week (you can do it up to 5 times in a week.) good luck!!

Has anyone had much success with the CVS giftcard promos? I think I might try it this week since Allegra is included and we will run out by the end of the week.

I make cornbread by mixing 2 cups milk, 2 cups s/r cornmeal, 2 eggs and 1/2 cup oil. (My son likes to add a little sugar). Preheat oven to 425. Put cast iron skillet in oven with 2 T oil or shortening for a few minutes until oil gets hot. Pour mixture into skillet and return to oven until you can pull a toothpick out clean (about 25 minutes, but varies by ovens).

Thanks chipper. I did not want to waste it. I may make Hubby a homemade banana pudding for desert tonight.

Here is a good article on expiration dates.

I have used canned milk for up to several weeks after the sell by date as long as the can has no bulges or dents. In place of whole milk, use 50/50 water/canned milk.
