Walmart turkey prices - report in

Published: 2011-11-14 14:41:13
Updated: 2011-11-14 14:41:13

It looks like there may be some different turkey prices at various Walmart stores.  If you head to Walmart in the next few days, please let us know what the prices are at your location. We have one report in as low as .43/lb! This information comes from kjblue08 who posted in the Share the Deals section that the Walmart at Triangle Town Center has turkeys for .43/lb with no limit.  My local Walmart (40/42 area) still has turkeys starting at .74/lb.

always, the minimum is with a $25 order.

Food Lion preview shows that Jennie-O turkey will be $.45/lb this week. Couldn't tell what the minimum order was but it was limit 3.

The other birds were more expensive, but the RiverSide brand was $0.45. It's in a red and white package. Maybe your store was out? There were only 3 left at TTC Walmart when I took my bird and left.

Are these variable prices being advertised locally or not?

I find it very odd that the price would not be consistent! Not a good move by WM to spot price an item depending on locale :(

Is there a corporate number that can be called for clarification on the myriad of prices in the state?

NO good price in Rocky Mount Walmart- they were .97 lb and on Saturday in Nashville Store they were .74 lb- so what gives?????????

from the foothills here but was at foodlion and the price for a bird there was $36.00....i almost fell out in the floor..

Someone posted on the smart shopper facebook page that the Fuquay Walmart turkeys were .74.

It's great that those of you in N Raleigh can get the .45 turkeys at Walmart. The meat guy at my store at 40/42 said they would price match the Walmart at Triangle Town Center. If your Walmart isn't at .45 for turkeys you may want to ask if they will price match to another Walmart.

I also got a 20-pounder at TTC WalMart for 45 cents/lb. There were turkeys in 2 different freezers - one freezer had smaller birds and some were 45 cents/lb and others were 98 cents/lb. The next freezer had probably 20 or so that were much larger and they were all 45 cents/lb. Be sure to check both freezers before you give up!

I just bought a big ole RiverSide bird from the Walmart at Triangle Town Center. They had 4 left...now 3. It was $0.45/lb. No minimum purchase. My only problem was trying to find room in my fridge. I'm cooking that sucker this weekend!

Our Walmart (Erwin/Dunn) has turkeys starting at .74/lb too for the off brand, .99/lb for Honeysuckle and $1.12/lb for Butterball.
