FedEx response to the giveaway frustrations:

I agree, buffhome - the folks on facebook were really obnoxious. I posted and thanked them for offering it.

FYI - pretty much every single Facebook freebie giveaway I have ever tried to get did not start on time and was a disaster. I always expect it to be a dragged out frustration and am never surprised when it is. I am surprised when a giveaway starts on time without frustration. There are just so many people trying for the same ones and so many more will not get the freebie. It is very generous of them to offer them though. They gave away $750,000 today!

I still haven't gotten a confirmation email...hope to get a surprise in the mail!

I got the gift card today. It took awhile and I had to refresh the page too many times to count. A good surprise for the day. The bigger surpise to me is the reaction of people towards FedEx and reactions when people didn't get a card. Come on folks....its a lottery. There is no reason to be angry and rip aprt a company because you didn't win the "lottery". I understand that there are ALOT of people facing tough times, but it is by no means we should lash out at FedEx and act like they owe us anything. **Sorry for venting**

I actually got one -- just got the confirmation email! Thankful, but not sure if it was worth the frustration of over an hour of trying on 3 different computers. I can at least tell my hubby I made us $25 today! Wait until Super Doubles tomorrow! Can't wait to tell him that amount! :)

I've been thinking about this and it's likely the website just couldn't handle all the traffic. It was certainly generous of FedEx and hopefully most of those who were able to get through were those who needed it the most.

Caniac315, I've used FedEx and UPS, most recently UPS, and I was shocked at what I was charged by UPS to deliver a small package less than ten miles from their location, and the most irritating thing that day was when I got home and looked at the ticket it said, next time ask about our AAA discount, something the clerk could have asked when I dropped it off. In fact, she didn't need to ask if I had AAA because my card was in my hand at the time I pulled out my driver's license for ID. When it comes to Christmas shipping, I may have to flip a coin. ;)

I was very disappointed with FedEx. There is so much need out there now, and to do something like this, makes me pretty angry. I had a friend who was hoping to get one of the cards for groceries. No wonder I always use UPS for my shipping needs.

That turned out to be the biggest scam. I was there at 1:00, kept refreshing the page, never came up anything but blank. Fed-ex put up a couple of messages that they were working on the
loading problem, people kept posting complaints, and suddenly there was the message that they were no longer available. Thanks anyhow Faye, not your fault Fed-ex sucks.

I tried again since I have not seen my confirmation email. And got a popup saying I had already won one.
