Faye - I was at Kroger this morning and the Morning Star items are included in the mega event.

  • justme463 Oct 31, 2011

    Thanks Faye and Nancy!

"Even though the Mars candy coupon (for Snickers, Milky Way or 3 Musketeers) says "available at Walmart" on it, since it is a manufacturer's coupon, Kroger will take it, right?"

Yes, they will HOWEVER if you hang onto the coupon (expires in November) and use it next week at HT, the regular price at HT for 11.24oz bag is $3.89 - which means you would pay 89 cents for them at HT next week :)

justme - they should take it because it does not indicate "good ONLY at Walmart" but, as many have found out with past coupons, some managers still won't take it with the Walmart word on it. But they SHOULD take it. If the cashier gives you any grief, ask to speak with the manager since it is a manufacturer's coupon.

Steph - I love that Rx transfer reward! I did it last week and got $41 worth of free groceries after reward and coupons! Lots of fruit, veggies and other needed items.

If anyone goes to Kroger tomorrow and happens to be in the frozen food section, would you check to see if the Morningstar frozen veggie burgers are part of the mega event deal? I saw it posted on a couple forums & wanted to know if it was included.

Nancy - I agree. Since many of the area Krogers started allowing up to 5 like coupons doubled, it is more worth it to go. They have some very good produce and bread deals just about every week. I wish there was a Kroger closer to me.

I got 20 items today for FREE! Used coupons and then my Rx reward for transferring prescriptions!! I still have money left too! Lots of butter, capri sun, yogurt, pie crust, and more! I will probably have to go get more Annie's pasta -- that is a great deal. BJs is 91 cents a box, so anything less than that is a great deal! (already got the free one!)

Kroger is earning my attention the last 6 months, more than they have in a couple years! Some excellent sales!

I actually look forward to their ad each week know, knowing there will probably be something I can't resist :)

Littanybreigh, The discount is good for sets of 10 only. If you only buy 8 participating items, you do not get the $5 discount or any discount at all. If you buy 11 participating items, you only get a $5 discount and no more than that. In the past, they have let you get multiple discounts in one transaction if you buy enough items. For instance, if I buy 20 participating items, I would get $10 off on the transaction. Have fun!

  • littanybreigh Oct 30, 2011

For the Mega Event, do you have to buy 10 items to get the promotional discount? If I buy 11 items instead of 10, then does the discount extend to those additional items?
