Food Lion deals 10/26

Posted October 25, 2011

Food Lion has some good deals this week on carrots, tangerines, bone-in chicken breasts, My Essentials soda, Angel Soft and Wisk! Please post any additional deals you find.

These deals start Wednesday, October 26 and are valid through Tuesday, November 1, 2011.

Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

E-Coupons: You can now load RedPlum.com manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Does anyone know if FL puts Dr. Pepper on sale with the Coke products? This week they have 2 ltr cokes on sale and some stores include Dr. Pepper in that.

Would like to know to pick up some for hubby, his 'drink of choice' :)

    eyeoneastsky -

The coupons the past couple of weeks (with a few exceptions) have been a little 'underwhelming'...

Try not to get discouraged. It takes a little while to fall into a good 'cycle' where you can bridge the gap between sales. There are numerous coupon swaps in the area & everyone I've run into at one of these is very kind, encouraging, and willing to share their knowledge...

Faye did a wonderful post during the last HT Triples event showing the deals she got on very nutritious food items...

I'm w/ Nancy...Farmer's Market is THE PLACE to be for APPLES this time of year...the flavors in the stores don't compare!

I'm not sure about availability of a N&O subsription in the Durham area...there's been one floating around the Raleigh area for $13/wk (new subscribers)...perhaps some other blog posters can assist w/ their knowledge on this one??

    CHEEZ-ITS...FL has them 2/4...and they've spit out a Catalina recently that's 1.00 off a 3.00 cra cker purchase...I have a 1/2 Q (exp 11/13), & for some reason, thinking there was a 'blinkie' floating around recently for 1/2???

I tried to combine the manf & food lion coupons for the Angel Soft & Brawny pt's at the FL @ 1010x401 this afternoon. They would not let me use both coupons. Does anyone know of a FL that will let you combine these coupons? Thanks.

eyeoneastsky - I usually go to the NC Farmer's Market this time of year for apples. You can mix and match whatever kind you want. As far as no salt - Walmart carries a good selection of no salt canned tomatoes and they are a good price - around .60c a can. Walmarts canned fruit packed in juice is around $1 for a 15 oz can.

And I guess Food Lion won't match prices? Thanks Faye!

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Oct 26, 2011

Jent - the prices can be different from the Raleigh ad to the Durham ad for some stores. Although many of th eprices I post for the Raleigh area deals will be the same in most of the state, there are still going to be differences.

  • jent1234 Oct 26, 2011

I just answered my own question. Food Lion ad in Raleigh area shows a different price than Food Lions in other areas. I never knew the sales were different throughout the state?

  • jent1234 Oct 26, 2011

My Food Lion ad shows the Brawny paper towels for $7.49?? Does anyone else's? Is there something I am missing?
