3-Week Coupons: The 3-week coupons in the sales last week are still valid this week. If you did not get the coupons two weeks ago when they came out, I suggest asking the folks at the customer service desk at your store if they have any extras. Sometimes they keep extras of the coupons. These store coupons are good October 5 – 25, 2011. They can be coupled with manufacturer’s coupons and the cashier will give the store coupons back to you to use throughout the 3-week period.
There are a number of digital coupons available as well that match the sales nicely. I just spoke with a CSR from Lowes Foods who did confirm they are now letting customers use the digital coupons with manufacturer coupons so there are some great deals to be had!

    Thanks couponlover!

  • couponlover89 Oct 20, 2011

40andtired - they take off the money for any bags (or at least the one in Holly Springs does)!

  • 40andtired Oct 20, 2011

Shamefully, I have not been using reuseable bags but I will in the future. Is this any reuseable bag or store-name bags only?

  • Dr D Oct 20, 2011

I e-mailed Lowe's last night because I was curious and did not find an answer in the FAQs on their site, and received a prompt explanation from them this morning:

"With the launch of our new Fuel Rewards program, the Fresh Rewards cash program has been discontinued. Because of this change, the 5 cent bag reuse credit is now taken directly off of your order total, as you have observed."

"With the end of this program, customers with a Fresh Rewards balance of $2.00 or more were issued a coupon for their Fresh Rewards, rounded to the nearest dollar, to use on a future order. Since your balance was below the $2, the balance was depleted."

I am pleased with this program change, as it provides an immediate reward for using reusable shopping bags. True, it is small scale per individual shopping visit, but overall a win-win for everyone. :-)

ddalmas -- I noticed that too. I guess there really are no more Fresh Rewards, just fuel rewards. I'm not really complaining, since the 5 cents per bag was the only FR deal left anyway, and it's just as good getting the 20 or 30 cents off on each order (though there *was* something nice about earning that $5 reward too, I have to admit). I also got a $4 coupon when they switched out the Lowes cards, to cash out my FR balance.

Hey, it works for me! :-)

Has anyone else noticed that Lowe's is now crediting instantly on the receipt 5 cents for each reusable shopping bag used? Previously I earned 5 cents per bag which accumulated towards a $5 Fresh Reward, and this seems to have changed around the time they switched to the new barcoded cards.

Sounds like a good plan, ncsualum. We really do like the Sanderson Farms chicken since it has no extra broth injected as some other brands do. At $1.77/lb - it's a great price!

  • ncsualum09 Oct 19, 2011

I haven't ventured into Lowes foods coupon shopping yet (there isn't one on my street, so I haven't been brave enough yet, haha, baby steps) BUT, hearing Faye rave about the Sanderson Farms chicken might just be enough to have me make my first trip this week! Wish me luck!

(but first, I have to get the new Lowes Foods card, mine is so old it won't even let me register it online, it doesn't have enough numbers, THEN I'll get the chicken!!)

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Oct 19, 2011

Nancy - I don't think the EL will show her if the Special K is included in the Buy 4 Get $4 off instantly promo though.

  • Nancy Oct 19, 2011

IcsYeah, you can go online to Online Shopping section of their website and look up every product you want to see prices on, that way you don't have to wait to get to the store.

You can do that with Lowe's and Harris Teeter :)
