Be careful at HT to make sure the Kraft promotion comes off (you are able to get one 5 products for $8 per transaction). Mine didn't come off and I had to go to customer service, but they refunded me the extra $2 right there. They are always so nice!

Also if you are an REI member, the 20% off one item is until the 16th. We went today but didn't realize it didn't apply to bikes. My girls have seriously grown and it was a sad sight watching them ride their bikes this week. I think Santa is going to be bringing some bikes this year. That is if I can find a coupon for them! ;)

brindamour- if it is a e-coupon (one that you "saved" to your card, also known as a ZVR) it'll show up in a separate line. It'll say (in bold) ZVR then the product (ex ZVR Bounty 8 Roll) and then the amount being deducted. The manufacturer's coupon will ALSO show up as a scanned coupon with the amount being deducted.

So yes :) they both get deduced for the product :)

Free small cheese pizza if you like hungry howies! carry out only, and it has to be used w/in 48hrs! it time stamps the coupon!! So I would only do it if you plan to go by there speedy quick :)

Slightly OT, but can someone tell me if the eVic electronic coupons appear differently on the HT receipt? If I have an e-coupon (thru eVic) for a product and a manufacturer's coupon for the same product, are both applied?

I just found the free Dr.Pepper at Kroger in Garner on 70/Timber Dr. they had plenty of them and I found the bread at Lowes Food in Garner at Aversboro/Timber again they had plenty of them infact they had 3 different flavors to choose from. I found the bread in the baking isle with all of the other packages to make bread, muffins, etc...

Thanks Faye for your kind words. I am going through my pantry tommorrow to make a large donation. It makes me sad to think of anyone being hungry in America, especially with coupons around. I read in the Clayton News today where Weight Watchers is sponsoring food drives for the food banks in Johnston County too. Working together we all can make a difference to eliminate hunger.

Sorry you cannot attend the swap. I'll mail the coupons I had for you.

does anyone know of any flu shot deals in the Raleigh/Wake Forest area

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Oct 9, 2011

That is so sweet of you Linda! Wish I could be at that swap but I am teaching a class in RTP that morning.

FYI - I know Linda personally so you can trust that any food you bring for her to donate will definitely go to the food bank. She is a wonderful person!

Reminder - the class on Saturday at WRAL is also a food drive for the Raleigh food bank so if you are coming to the class, please bring a couple items to donate!

Also if you have items for the Military and it is not convenient for you to deliver it, I will be glad to do so. I go right by the one in Clayton several times a week visiting my sister.

In view of the closing of several Johnston County food banks, I would like to offer my help in delivering food to the Clayton Area Ministries in Clayton. I am planning to be at the 40-42 Swap on Tuesday and would be glad to take any donations you would like to give to them. Our church supports them and this is our CAM Month to really boost up the drive for food for the winter months.

    See you on Tuesday.
