Lowes Foods deals 10/5

Posted October 5, 2011
Updated October 6, 2011

There are some great deals this week at Lowes Foods using the new 3-week coupons as well as good buys on produce, pickles, pierogies and more! There is also a 10th Anniversary sale for the Garner store on Timber drive with some good buys that are only valid at that store.

Lowes Coupon Policy Basics:

Doubles coupons .99 or less everyday

Doubles up to 20 coupons per day

Doubles up to 4 identical coupons (must have required product to go with each coupon)

BOGO sales ring up at half price. If you just buy one, it still rings up at half price and you can still use a coupon on it! I love that policy!

Reminder: You can now add digital coupons to your Lowes Foods Reward card by going to Lowesfoods.com. These coupons will not double.

10th Anniversary 10 for $10 sale for Garner location only. Prices good from October 5 – 11 at the Garner store at 1845 Aversboro Road, Timber Landing Shopping Center, Garner.

Some of the better deals at the Garner store include:

Lowes Foods chunk Cheese, 8 oz $1.00 (very good deal)

Lowes Foods bleach, 128 oz $1.00

3-Week Coupons: There is a new set of 3-week coupons in the sales ad today so be sure to pick up a copy of the ad in-stores if you don’t get it delivered with a paper. These store coupons are good October 5 – 25, 2011. They can be coupled with manufacturer’s coupons and the cashier will give the store coupons back to you to use throughout the 3 week period.
There are a number of digital coupons available as well that match the sales nicely. I just spoke with a CSR from Lowes Foods who did confirm they are letting customers use the digital coupons with manufacturer coupons so there are some great deals to be had! I also spoke with Lisa in corporate and they are working on their registers to NOT allow this in the future (just like Kroger did). The digital coupons are essentially manufacturer's coupons so I understand them only wanting to allow one per item. For now, though, the register will allow both digital and manufacturer's coupons on the same item.

As I posted yesterday, there is a new Lowes Foods Fuel Rewards program: Lowes Foods Fuel Rewards launches this week and saves you money at Lowes Foods gas pumps AND WilcoHess gas pumps! The new program is valid at all stores in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Here's how it works:
For every $100 you spend in any Lowes Foods store, you will receive $0.05 off per gallon of gas at any WilcoHess or Lowes Foods fuel station.

There is no limit to the amount of Fuel Rewards that can be earned, and they can be stacked so that customers can save $0.10, $0.15, $0.20 or more per gallon.

As many of you know, the previous fuel program was only available at the Lowes Foods stores that have a gas station (20 stores total). Now there will be over 200 WilcoHess fuel centers where customers can use their Lowes Foods Fuel Rewards.

If you want to start earning Lowes Foods Fuel Rewards, you will need to pick up a new Fresh Rewards loyalty card at your local Lowes Foods or contact the Lowes Foods Customer Care Center at 1-888-537-8646. The new loyalty cards will have a magnetic strip allowing you to scan or swipe your card at the gas pump and redeem your Fuel Rewards.

@iluv2teach -- I don't have a tried & true recipe for the mississippi mud cake (which I understand is very different from the m m pie). But, if I were to make it, I would bake a batch of brownies with nuts and possibly coconut (both optional), top with mini marshmallows or marshmallow creme as soon as it comes out of the oven and is still hot so the marshmallow layer melts, and then top with chocolate fudge frosting once it has mostly cooled, but before the marshmallow layer completely sets up. I think I'm going to try it next week! Yum!

Faye- sorry that's what I meant, the lowes sales paper. I even asked at customer service if thye had extras last time and they said no. Hoping to get one today. Had no idea there were that many coupon shoppers in Mebane!

I went to LF tonight and the cashier automatically gave me a new card. She said that all the info from the old one was transferred to my new one at the register. I did not even have to ask for it.

Fuel rewards are like quarterly ECBs, if I'm doing my job right, I just shouldn't earn much.

If anyone has trouble finding the coupons once you're in the store, they are on the back of the 'Lowes/Hess gas promotion' page that's by/overleafed on the sales flyers...one entrance did not have them, but the other one did...got 2 cake mixes, 2 frostings, 2 Totinos pizza rolls, 4 packs of Trix/yoplait yogurt, & cat food for around $ 9 & some change...then mosied over to Staples next door & got the flashdrive (free after rewards) & recycled 3 generic cartridge ($ 10 rewards each/bought HP ink (that I know I'll use eventually)...very productive trip.

jdouglas13 - do you have a recipe for that Mississippi Mud Pie? That sounds awesome!

  • erika483 Oct 5, 2011

Just to check, is Lowes like Harris Teeter where you can use a digital and a paper coupon? I know Kroger will not let you stack them.

  • savesavesave Oct 5, 2011

Silly me. Found my answer. Sorry.

  • savesavesave Oct 5, 2011

I forgot how to get the digital coupons for Lowes. Can someone please refresh my memory?

  • kket02 Oct 5, 2011

Lowes in Holly Springs will manually enter the 3 week coupon codes and give the paper back to me.
