Here is a good deal - Lowe's Foods on Capital Blvd. had 1% milk gallons for $1.90 and the date on the jug is Oct. 9. There were still at least 4 left or more when I was there yesterday evening.

Well, I went to the Lowe's Home Improvement store closest to me and no luck. They only had he 12 pk for $2.50, which is an okay deal, but not as good as the 24 pk for $2.50.

jcrownel--what Lowe's store did you find this deal?

As far as using a q at Lowe's I have never done it either, but it never hurts to ask. I have seen on other blogs that it depends on the store's management.

jcrownel - Maybe you should try it and be the first.

leeandkaren - some people are just trolling through, their interest is not in saving money ;)

Never seen a coupon for Pepsi being used at a Lowe's home store.

jcrownel--sweet find. Remember the pepsico printables (coupons will also be in paper on Sunday)? http://coupons2.smartsource.com/smartsource/index.jsp?Link=Q4NDUHYKVIMDK

They have a $2.00/2 pepsi 24 pk--making that only $3.00 for 48 Pepsi cans!! Awesome deal. I hope this is at all Lowe's stores. I'm going to try tomorrow...

Lowe's Home Improvement, Pepsi 24 pack...$2.50.Plenty of aisle space to "PULL OVER" and load up.

ps- I know I was the one who was asking about the price of a new sunday only subscription, BUT, in case anyone was following along on the thread from yesterday, I just signed up online (newsobserver.com/subscribe), and used the code SC13, and it was only $1 a paper... you could do 13 weeks, 26 weeks, or 52 weeks, all for only a dollar a paper. I couldn't figure out how to add the second paper from that page, so I'll be calling for sure to add that, but I was pretty excited since a lot of people were talking about getting a year for $80 or so. I found a flyer in my paper from last week as I was taking it out to the recycle bin!

momboozer, I have a Food Saver Vacuum sealer machine - and I just had to replace my first one which I had for several years. Between it, the crockpot and the breadmaker, if any of they die, I immediately replace them LOL

ncsualum - you want a crockpot, I promise! Easy peasy recipes, and you don't have to stand over the stove either! Just google crock pot recipes and you'll be amazed at all the things you can cook in a crockpot! The best part is, you come home from work with dinner done! They're fantastic plus they save a ton of electricity since they use no more than a lightbulb being left on for several hours :)
