I have learned a lot in the past month. I have randomly used coupons but in July I decided I was going to do something about how much I was spending at the grocery store. I ordered Faye's book and video. Two of my girlfriends and I got together and watched the video on a Thursday night and we have really been learning ever since. We coupon swap, although I would love to have one in my area. We have learned how to use EB's and RR's to get our things free. We have to go early in the week b/c we only have one of each store in our area and have to travel 40 miles to a HT. We worked it into our travel arrangements to be there during HT's triples this weekend. I have even started teaching my son how to coupon! He saved over $60 his first month. I have yet to tally my savings as a whole but do so after each trip. As long as I save at least 50%, I'm happy. Thanks for the video, the book and especially the blog!

I have learned about using the HT Express Lane shopping to get the current price of an item for planning my shopping trip. I have also learned about donating expired coupons to the military.

I have learned, if the item is not in stock just get a rain check. You can always use them later. There will always be that next time.

I have learned about stacking coupons, I always thought I could use just one.

I have learned that couponing is TONS of fun...I always thought that it was more hassle than it is worth but my wife got me involved with the Harris teeter super doubles last month and the current running of triples and I just can't get enough...I am HOOKED...there is nothing better than saving money especially when you can have fun at the same time

I learned about how to find retail coupons so that I can save money on clothes as I do on groceries!!!

  • pellis02 Sep 17, 2011

What I have learned is when shopping at HT to buy just what is on sale and I have coupons for. If its not on sale or no coupon don't buy it.

I am new to the coupon craze and with being a laid off, single mom, every penny I can save is important to me. One thing I have learned in the past week is not to get discouraged and keep at it. I tend to get bored easily if I don't see results immediately and it helps to know I will get better at this and save the money I need for other things for my daughter and I!!

I have learned how to stack manufactuer coupons with the coupons uploaded to my store cards.

I have learned that HT will accept my ecb's, yay!!

I have also learned that Nancy has some awesome coupons that she likes to share :) Thanks Nancy.
