Harris Teeter deals 9/7

Posted September 7, 2011

There are some great deals at Harris Teeter this week including .77 Harris Teeter ice cream, chicken leg quarters for .49/lb, Kashi entrees for 67 cents, pears for 99 cents/lb and more!

It looks like Harris Teeter will be offering their Triple Coupons promotion starting September 14! During this promo, they triple coupons that are .99 or less, so a 75-cent coupon triples to $2.25.  Coupons that are $1.00 or more do not double or triple and are only taken at face value. I will start a triples good deals list soon so we can start sharing the deals we find with available coupons.

Harris Teeter Coupon Policy Basics:

Doubles coupons .99 or less everyday

Doubles up to 20 coupons per day

Doubles up to 3 identical coupons (must have required product to go with each coupon)

BOGO sales ring up at half price. If you just buy one, it still rings up at half price. The policy has recently changed and now states that you can only use two coupons on a BOGO deal. So, if you buy 2 items that are BOGO, you can use two coupons (which is a very good thing!).

Senior discount: Seniors 60 and older receive a 5% discount every Thursday. Discount applies after coupons are deducted.

e-coupons: Don’t forget to add the e-coupons to your Harris Teeter VIC card and remember, you can stack the e-coupons with manufacturer coupons to maximize savings. The link to your e-coupons are in your Wednesday e-Vic e-mail.

I was totally wondering why the ice cream qs beeped! I didn't read them closely either. The manager pushed mine through too.

The ice cream is limit 2 and with e vic, you have to get both in same transaction, right? The coupon is one per customer per day. I had a nice manager with a trainee cashier who just over rode out and kept going. I was fine to follow the rules, ashamed to say I didn't read it beforehand, but she didn't even ask.

I was just at Harris Teeter and the smuckers magic shell was $5 for 2 bottles -- not $1.25. I would love to use my coupon for this but wanting the best deal!

The ZVR's only print 28 coupons. You can save more than that but when you print them they won't show up.

Interesting about the ZVRs. I asked Saturday morning at Kings Grant, and they told me they could NOT look up what I had saved to my card.

I have the same problem as momboozer, in that quite a few of the coupons that I see as "saved" do not show up on the list that I print out. I've even tried to do screen prints so that I'd have something with me (more to jog my own memory!), but that doesn't work very well. I really like having something in hand as proof for those occasional instances where the ZVR doesn't come off automatically.

Ran into HT tonight after work & at least 3 employees that see me there every week ,told me about the triples next week. I love that they will let me know in advance.

"My printout is my only defense against ZVRs that do not get deducted at the register."

No, no it's not. They have a computer at customer service that can look up what ZVRs are stored on your store card. They can submit them manually there so the store gets credit AND you can get a refund. Whether the staff at your store knows how to do this, I don't know. I wrote to corporate about it, and they assured me that MY regular store would be taught how to do it.

I have had no trouble having ZVRs looked up this way at: Kings Grant, Cameron Village and North Hills.

momboozer's got the right idea. I'll be on raincheck patrol this week for sure.

The Vlasic pickles need to either stay on sale or be out of stock when I go shopping. It's obscene how fast we go through pickles in my house. Sugar, not so much.

  • momboozer Sep 7, 2011

Nancy - Actually the store was out last week since this is the second week run of that sale.

  • momboozer Sep 7, 2011

Has anyone had a situation where ZVRs saved to your card do not print out with the grocery list. I have an entire group that is not showing up on the printout although they show up on my "saved list" My printout is my only defense against ZVRs that do not get deducted at the register.
