Food Lion deals 9/7

Posted September 7, 2011

Food Lion has good buys this week on grapes, carrots, chicken breasts. Palermo's Pizza, and Wisk.  There is also a new store brand promotion: Buy 4 participating items and get $1 coupon to use on next transaction. Details are below.

Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

E-Coupons: You can now load manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Food Lion store brand sale: Get $1 back on every 4 Healthy Accents or Home 360 items purchased. Coupon redeemable on your next purchase. Savings start at 2 items (this is what the ad indicates, although it also indicates that you get the $1 back for every 4 you purchase). This promo looks like it does not include food, which is too bad. The last time they did this there were some ok deals on some of the food items. If you see any good buys in store with this promotion, please post them. You can save up to $10 total, according to the ad.

Someone mentioned earlier something about the Mardi gras coupons being on sale at FLion? Does anyone remember this? Think I read it from work and did not have my binder with me and now I can't find the post. Thanks, LindaB

@LindaB-They are frozen bananas covered in either milk or dark chocolate and come with or without nuts. Give them a try!

    What are banana babies?

  • ctuffin0205 Sep 7, 2011

Diana's Banana Babies are awesome and they are BOGO at Food Lion this week! Per my contact with the company, they never offer coupons so BOGO is the best you are going to get! I laugh because I always thought this product was for babies only, but that is so not the case! Try some!

The TGIF Entrees for 1 are on sale B2G1. The sales price for each is $2.30. There were coupons a few weeks ago $1.50/1 and $1/1. I bought six yesterday and the final price was $5.38. $.89 each!
