Time to purge expired coupons & help the military!

Posted August 31, 2011

It's the beginning of the month and it's time to purge your expired coupons. Wondering what to do with them? How about sending them to our military overseas! As I have posted before, you can actually donate your expired coupons to our U.S military overseas who have access to a commissary. They can use coupons that are expired up to 6 months as well as coupons that are still in date. For more information about adopting a base through the Overseas Coupon Program,  click HERE.

citylefty - while they have longer to use them, they need time to process and distribute them and still have time remaining for those who get them to use them within the confines of the manufacturer allowing use beyond the expiration date.

So the sooner we can send 'expired' coupons, the longer use time they will have to actually use them once in their hands :)

The FAQ on the website says they will accept coupons up to 2 months old, not 6 months. Or did I miss something? Thanks for the info. We have a large Vets Group and I know they will want this info.

For those shipping those domestically to Coups for Troops - here is the link to the Priority Flat Rate prices/sizes of free boxes etc. A small box (video tape size) would hold a ton of coupons for $5 flat rate Priority Mail :)

I have so many that I've got two 4x6 manilla envelopes stuffed! I just need to get to the post office :)

It appears there is a donation drop box for Coups for Troops at Strafe Gaming Lounge (Main St.) in Fuquay.

Donating expired coupons to the troops is something I always wanted to do, but I had no idea how to... thanks for providing the info, Faye :)

We put a box out at work for people to add their unwanted coupons to. I just finish purging it of the expired coupons. This will be our first month sending coupons to the troups.
