Just like any business, Facebook wants to make more money. So why not make it off of you and potentially anything you say or do?

The online social network is apparently starting a new advertisement effort that allows companies to use any of your news feed information to promote their products! And you can’t opt out! WOW!

One more reason to be very careful about what you post!

To us FB users, this is NOT new news. It's also not a big deal. All they say is your friend 'liked' this too. Don't like offensive things/ don't 'friend' your boss and there shouldn't be an issue. I use the same theory online as I do 'IRL'. If you'd be embarrassed if someone brought it up later then don't do it!

Although I'm not a big fan of Facebook's tactics and I'm not trying to defend them, I think this blog is misleading and unnecessarily inflammatory. As I understand it, if you "Like" a product, you may be included in the sponsor's ads. So don't "Like" products. Who really cares whether you like your jeans, your coffee or your toothpaste anyway?
