Are you ready for retirement?

We all hope to get there one day, although with the economy – retirement will come much later in life than most of us had probably hoped. The key to getting there though and then being able actually ENJOY those golden years is being financially prepared for them.

The Consumer Reports National Research Center recently surveyed 24,270 subscribers ages 55 to 75 about their finances. A whopping 57 percent said they have regrets about their financial decisions.

Tonight, during the WRAL News at 5, we’re looking at Consumer Reports recommendations for ways to never run out of money! Some of their strategies might surprise you. For example, saving for your child’s college education may NOT be the best idea from a financial perspective.
