Credit card debt: How does yours stack-up

Today, Credit Karma, a credit management service, released their November Credit Climate report about trends in credit card, auto, student and mortgage debt. How do you compare? According to the report-- in November, the average account holding consumer in North Carolina had:

  • $6,995 credit card debt
  • $153,747 in home mortgage loans
  • $15,790 in auto loans
  • $27,377 in student loans

 

For the most part though, we’re doing better than the national average:

 

  • $7,336 in credit card debt
  • $173,566 in home mortgage loans
  • $49,908 in home equity
  • $15,147 in auto loans
  • $28,617 in student loans

 

As for credit scores, nationally since January 2010-- they’re down four points to 665.
