Trader Joe's Recall

Trader Joe's expands recall because of possible Salmonella

Posted Updated

I love Trader Joe’s!  I'm so glad we have stores in Chapel Hill, Cary and now Raleigh. They just have so many interesting products-- the gorgonzola crackers, their fresh pizza dough and their cornbread mix are some of my favorites.

I've never had the TRADER JOE'S CHOCOLATE CHIP CHEWY GRANOLA BARS-- but friends really like them. Right now though-- they could be contaminated with SALMONELLA! So the company just expanded a previous recall to include ALL code dates of the bars. They were sold across the country! So check your cabinets and check with friends and family. If you have any-- take the box back to any store for a refund or just throw it away! But don't eat them!  If you have questions, you can call the company's customer relations office at 626-599-3817.  They're open M-F, 9a-3p.
The company says so far, they don't have any confirmed reports of anyone actually getting sick from the bars. But as a precaution, they're holding off on production.  Again, if you have them-- don't eat them.  Instead-- if you haven't tried them yet--  I recommend you grab a box of those gorgonzola crackers for a snack!
