I was terminated from my job because of discovering an affair between two colleagues. Do I have any cause for contacting an attorney?
Question: I was terminated from my job because of discovering an affair between two "big shot" colleagues. My letter of termination indicated I was no longer needed because the role I was in was no longer required. A few weeks later, someone was hired into the role. Do I have any cause for
contacting an attorney? As an HR professional, I know in NC you can term for most any reason, but I also know this was "shady"? Thanks!

Answer: Well, as an HR professional, you're probably also aware that it isn't necessarily against the law for the employer to be dishonest.
