We did find some good deals but not as many as we normally do. We explored the Four Oaks area instead of the Smithfield area this time. They guys wanted a change. Found some PJ's and tops with the sales tags still on them for $1.00 each. Found some items for my nursing home project.

My greatest deal to me was the new belt for my brother-in-law to use to help my sister walk for $.25. I think it is called a posy. He puts the belt around her waist to help her walk since she had her stroke, she needs lots of help. Found a beautiful manager Precious Moments Manager scene still in the box (price on it was $14.99) paid $3.00.

The heat was terrible but we took water and soft drinks, along with snacks. Then the guys treated us for lunch/dinner at Holt's Lake in Smithfield. If you have never been, you should go. Then home to my recliner, which was like Heaven. We left home at 6:30 and returned around 3:45. Tired folks but we enjoyed it.

    Hope others had fun.

You will all have to report back in with your deals. I won't have time to make it out there this year so let us know what you think, if you go.

Please share any good locations you know about. I go & usually stay in the areas between Kenly to Smithfield. Looking for some different areas to scout out this year.

Nanee Lion - what great deals you have found in the last couple years! Thank you for the tips as well. Have fun and let us know what treasure you find this year!

Jdouglas - looks like high of 86 and chance of thunderstorms on Friday and then a gorgeous Saturday with a high of 78 and partly cloudy, according to Greg and the weather gang.

We are going with our best friends. We have been for the last two years and had a great time. We really found some good items. My friend found a beautiful purse for $3.00 which looked like it had never been used. I found a bathroom brand new faucet still in the box for $5.00. We found lots of items for our nursing home project and I hope we can find some this year. We bought new towels for nursing home for $1.00 each.

We can't hold out to see all we want to because of the heat and of course, we are old. We take water, sodas and snacks and then of course, we have to go out to eat before returning home.

We are going on Friday this year. Have fun everyone but stay hydrated.

I have never been, but am hoping for some unseasonably cool weather on the 17th and 18th so I can go this year!
