30-year-old man killed in late-night Raleigh shooting

A 30-year-old man died late Friday night after being shot in Raleigh, police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 30-year-old man died late Friday night after being shot in Raleigh, police said.

Raleigh police responded around 11 p.m. to the 6100 block of St. Giles Street in reference to a shooting. When they arrived, officers found a man who had been shot.

The man, who was identified as Taurean Whitfield Sutton, was taken to WakeMed where he was pronounced dead.

This investigation is ongoing.
