BUNN, N.C. — Three teens were injured in a one-car wreck near Bunn Sunday night, authorities said.

Jeff Hoggard, 18, of Zebulon, was westbound on N.C. Highway 98 when he drove off the left side of the road at Sledge Road, authorities said. The car hit a ditch, overturned and hit a tree, authorities said.

Hoggard was airlifted to Duke University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition Monday morning.

Claude Sanders III, 18, of Louisburg, a passenger in the car, was airlifted to WakeMed, where he was listed in good condition Monday.

Samantha Walker, 18, of Knightdale, another passenger, was taken by ambulance to WakeMed. There was no word on her condition Monday.

The wreck remains under investigation, but authorities said speed was apparently a factor in the case.
