Weather may have been a factor in an early morning accident on Interstate 85 in Orange County.

<b>HILLSBOROUGH, N.C.</b> — According to the Highway Patrol, bad weather may have been a factor in an early Thursday morning wreck on Interstate 85 in Orange County.

Investigators said a pickup truck slid off the roadway about a mile from the Durham/Orange County line and hit a tree. Authorities said it was raining at the time of the accident.

Three people were taken to the hospital. There is no word on their conditions.
