BUNN, N.C. — Two of three teens injured in a one-car wreck near Bunn Sunday night are out of the hospital, authorities said Tuesday.
Claude Sanders III, 18, of Louisburg, a passenger in the car, was airlifted to WakeMed. He was discharged early Tuesday.

Samantha Walker, 18, of Knightdale, another passenger, was taken by ambulance to WakeMed. She was discharged early Tuesday.

The driver, Jeff Hoggard, 18, of Zebulon, was listed in stable condition Monday morning at Duke University Hospital.

According to police, Hoggard was westbound on N.C. Highway 98 when he drove off the left side of the road at Sledge Road. The car hit a ditch, overturned and hit a tree, authorities said.

The wreck remains under investigation, but authorities said speed was apparently a factor in the case.
