Three people were seriously injured in an accident that shut down parts of I-95 in Nash County on Sunday.

Troopers said a car lost control, ran off the road and struck two trees. The driver and front seat passenger are in critical condition. A passenger in the back seat is in serious condition.

All three are from Washington DC. Police do not think alcohol played a roll in the crash.
