3 Boys Charged With Raping 9-Year-Old
Three boys younger than 12 have been charged with raping a 9-year-old girl in July, police said Thursday.

Juvenile petitions charging first-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping and communicating threats were served this week on the boys, ages 8, 9 and 11, said Deputy Chief J.K. Hinton, of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department. The charges stem from an alleged incident in late July, he said, declining to elaborate.
The boys will face hearings in juvenile court, he said.
