3 arrested in connection to murder of 16-year-old in Hope Mills

— Hope Mills police arrested and charged three people on Thursday in connection to the murder of a 16-year-old who was found shot to death in May.

Officers found the teen, who was not identified due to his age, on May 28 around 8:15 a.m. on the dirt road portion of McKinnon Farm Road. A police investigation into the boy's death found he was taken from a friend's home by force in a drug-related incident before being shot and killed.

The investigation led to three people, according to police, who were arrested in the 2700 block of Alden Drive, Fayetteville. Those arrested are:

» Devon Scott Hall, 18, of the 2700 block of Alden Drive, Fayetteville. Hall was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping and robbery with a dangerous weapon. He is being held on without bond.

» Darian Rashad Revels, 20, of the 6900 block of Glynn Mill Farm Drive. Revels was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping and robbery with a dangerous weapon. He is being held without bond.

» Daniel Worth Hall Jr., 19, of the 2700 block of Alden Drive, Fayetteville. Hall was charged with felony accessory after the fact to first-degree murder. He was given a $250,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing, and police said more arrests are likely.

    What??? No comments about they led a poor childhood and were really good kids that just made a poor decision? Need to torch the trio with 1st degree and drop them for about 50 years.
