RALEIGH, N.C. — Three people were injured early Sunday after a shooting and fight broke out at a restaurant off Capital Boulevard.

Around 1:45 a.m., officers with the Raleigh Police Department responded to Red Bowl Asian Bistro, located at 6360 Plantation Center Drive.

At the scene, they found one man who was suffering from a gunshot wound and was taken to WakeMed for treatment. Two other gunshot victims were later located at Duke Raleigh Hospital and Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount.

All three suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police said several people were involved in a fight inside the restaurant before a shoot out began in the parking lot.

Cory Jevon Hunter, 24, of 3943 Wels Road in Whitakers, was charged with discharging a firearm. And Raleigh police said Monday that they were still searching for suspects in the shooting.

The restaurant's manager, Tim Zhang, said the business had been shut down early Saturday night to accommodate a private party. Zhang said he is now rethinking restaurant policies regarding private parties going forward.

"Red Bowl of Raleigh is a family restaurant who prides itself on great service and quality food. We are very sad about the incident that occurred outside of our business last night. The authorities are looking into the incident as we speak. We just wanted to let our patrons know that we are a very safe family restaurant, and occurrences like these are practically nonexistent. We want to send our condolences to the victims and their families. We also very thankful for the speedy response of Raleigh police department," Zhang said in a statement.

No employees were injured and the restaurant was not damaged during the incident.

Anybody with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4957.
