— Moore County deputies arrested a Candor man for the statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl on Thursday.

The alleged rape occurred near the town of Robbins, where the victim lives, officials said.

Deputies arrested Paulino Vasquez Hernandez, 22, of 142 Shady Acres, on the same day which the incident was reported. He faces charges of statutory rape and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Hernandez was being held under a $75,000 secured bond Thursday morning. His first court date was set for April 14.

Glad they got his butt of the streets. I do not know who got a hold of him, but they did a good job of getting to that face that he can not hide. Hope justice is served soon!!

To look of this you would think that he has been punished enough already. The childs father must have been the arresting officer..

I wonder if it was the girl, her family, or the cops that roughed that dude up?

Don't say "hispanic" or WRAL will censor your comments. We don't have any problems from hispanics, they're all fine & upstanding citizens. They're all here legally & are contributing to the economy & tax base. To say anything otherwise will get you censored by WRAL. I'm still curious though about those guys who work in the WRAL gardens. Legal? Hmmm.
