The talk, had it been my son, would depend on whether he was a hoodlum. Jayquan has been arrested before for some not-so-good behavior (B&E, possession of stolen property, etc.). So, are we too surprised?

We see the same in other places. The victims are often involved in various illegal things.

I agree with your other posts: kids need to start listening to parents. Hopefully, the parents are also telling them the right things to do.

These kinds of shooting will continue, until it becomes your love one and then you will do your best to get a gun control law stepped up. To many of these loaded guns often are in the wrong hands.

. All we need are jobs to work

Really, there are jobs but these young men just don't want to work even if you put the job on a platter. They want to do stuff that is illegal to obtain a dollar. Ever wonder why so many are in prison?

So many of our young men are losing their life over nothing and never seeing 25 -30. But its a life they choose. Most likely at the end they wish they had listen to their parents. But it is not too late for the other YOUNG ADULTS out their. LISTEN, IT WILL NOT KILL YOU. IT MIGHT EVEN SAVE YOUR LIFE.

A 20 yr old is not a "Child"

Please!! To a mother and father it is; even though he is grown. He was YOUNG and not OLD. What if this had been your son, what would your chat be like I wonder?

This is easy to fix. All we need are jobs to work and to bring money home to our unbroken, loving families.

Has anyone notice that the young men are dying and the old men and women are living longer? Yet, many still don't think we need more control on guns. Please! When it becomes your child, will you rethink on that?

But that would require sending repeat violent offenders to prison.
