ROXBORO, N.C. — Two Roxboro police officers have been disciplined following an investigation into allegations of misconduct.

Roxboro Police Chief Jeff Insley said the department received complaints about the officers last month. An investigation determined that one of the officers was guilty of "inappropriate personal conduct" while functioning in an official capacity, Insley said in a statement released Thursday.

The second officer was cleared of misconduct allegations but was found to have violated department policy, Insley said.

No information about the misconduct or policy violation was released. The chief also didn't elaborate on what disciplinary measures were taken against the unidentified officers.
