— Police said two people were shot and a third was injured after jumping from a window late Monday night during an armed robbery at an apartment in Durham.

A pair of armed individuals broke into an apartment through the front door at the Level 51 Ten apartment complex, according to the Durham Police Department. Three people inside the apartment ran toward a back bedroom.

One victim was shot in the leg and another was grazed in the hand, police said. The third person jumped from a third-story window. The injuries were considered non-life-threatening, authorities said.

Police do not have either suspect in custody, but officials said there is no concern for others.

Took the words from me...Durham PD seriously needs to get better at managing their communications. It's crazy to think, but many of the goals they made public for the year revolved around better PR.
