2 men charged in Lee County shooting; victim in stable condition

The Lee County Sheriff's office said two men were arrested in connection to a shooting that sent an 18-year-old man to the hospital earlier this month.

SANFORD, N.C. — The Lee County Sheriff's Office said two men were arrested in connection to a shooting that sent an 18-year-old man to the hospital earlier this month.

A man identified as Jadin Quincey Bailey, of 146 Woodshire Dr., Lillington, arrived on Jan. 12 at Central Carolina Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. Bailey was later transferred to UNC Hospitals for the injury and is in stable condition, but he has been unable to speak with investigators.

Christopher Antoine Murchison, of 2900 Currituck Dr., Sanford, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and conspiracy to sell and deliver marijuana. He was given a $100,000 secured bond.

Ethan James Lucas, 19, of 2719 Valley Road, Sanford, was charged with conspiracy to sell and deliver marijuana, obstructing an investigation and accessory after the fact of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. Lucas was given a $25,000 secured bond.
