DURHAM, N.C. — Charges are pending in a three-vehicle crash that sent two people to local hospitals Saturday night.

Durham police said the wreck happened around 8:35 p.m. near the intersection of Holloway Street and Beasley Avenue when a Ford Ranger pickup truck traveling west hit another pickup truck in the rear, causing it to cross the lane and hit a motorcycle traveling east.

Stacie Miller, of Durham, who was on the motorcycle, was taken to a hospital with broken arms and legs but is expected to survive, police said.

A passenger in the Ford Ranger was also taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries and was listed in good condition Sunday morning.

Neither Hubert Jackson, the drive of the Chevrolet pickup truck, nor Abel Mondragon, the driver of the Ford Ranger, was injured.

Police said the wreck remains under investigation.

Part of Holloway Street was closed for several hours while authorities cleared the wreck scene.
