2 injured in Durham shooting might have shot at one another, police say

Two men were shot at the McDougald Terrace neighborhood in Durham Thursday night around 10:30 p.m., according to Captain Daniel Edwards of the Durham Police Department.

DURHAM, N.C. — The two men who were shot at an apartment in the McDougald Terrace neighborhood in Durham Thursday night could have been shooting at one another, police said.

Durham police officers responded just after 10:30 p.m. to 24 B Ridgeway Ave. in reference to a gunshot wound. Officers found a man inside the apartment who had been shot in his left side and both legs.

The man was taken to Duke University Hospital with serious injuries.

A second man with two gunshot wounds to his back walked into the hospital a few minutes before 11 p.m., according to Durham police. Police believe he was also shot during the incident on Ridgeway Avenue.

Neither man was identified.
