— A Fayetteville couple has been charged after marijuana plants were found growing in a child’s bedroom closet, authorities said Tuesday.

Clifton Keith Hall, 29, and Valerie Wright, 27, both of 7947 Maxwell Road, have been charged with one count each of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Wright is the parent of the 6-year-old child, authorities said.

Hall and Wright were released on their own recognizance.

Oh yes, some more hardened criminals caught with governments
devil weed. This is really sorry of our society to subject this
man and woman to the criminal justice system over a herb which
can grow most anywhere (even in closets). I hope the "state"
and those involved in violating these people rights, get their
"high" by subjecting them to involuntary servitude, againist
right reason, common sense, our constitutions, and againist the Supreme laws of the universe. Sleep well tyrants!

Put the child in prison!!! If he's growing weed at such a young age, just imagine what he'll do when he gets older!!!

Mommie, I can't find my sneakers. Your dope is in the way!

I hope that the child was taken away from them. What fine upstanding parents they are teaching a small child that it is OK to do illegal things, but at least they got caught.

Sprice7, you are taking my comment out of context. You are correct in your comment, but it was quite evident from the police report that in this case they were related. The drugs that were found were more than for personal use. There are no excuses for the demise of an innocent child because of what the parents are doing, which was illegal.

"so how'd they know the devil weed plants were in the closet???" There is no such thing as the devil. Get the facts straight. May Zeus bless you and keep you.

PULEESE!!! was making a reference to something that obviously went way over your head. and just fyi-IF there is a God then there is a devil.

Queenie, I have money and a weapon in my home already. If I brought some weed home, that wouldn't necessarily have anything to do with either of the other two items.

They should be ashamed of themselves raising a six year old pot grower. Kids these days.....

  • Queenie Jan 29, 2008

Okay Gork, there's something here that you just don't get - the parents were putting the child in harms way just like the 2 year old that was shot and killed in his Rocky Mount home from a drive-by shooting was put in harms way. Oh, and by the way, drugs, money and weapons were found in his parent's house. I guess none of that makes a difference as long as the "parents" and I use that word lightly, "rights" are not trampled on! Give me a break!

Bet the child's clothes smelled really potent!
