2 accidents slow Tuesday commute
A multi-car accident on Aviation Parkway created a traffic mess Tuesday afternoon near Raleigh-Durham International Airport. In Durham, a tractor-trailer accident on I-40 westbound blocked the right lane near Old Erwin Road.
Posted — UpdatedCARY, N.C. — A multi-car accident on Aviation Parkway created a traffic mess Tuesday afternoon near Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
Aviation Parkway was closed for about an hour near the intersection with Gateway Center Boulevard, south of Interstate 40. It reopened just after 6 p.m.
In Durham, a tractor-trailer accident on I-40 westbound blocked the right lane near the Old Erwin Road overpass just west of U.S. Highway 15-501.
Drivers were backed up through the 6 o'clock hour.
