18-year-old dies in Wake County crash; troopers say speed a factor

Posted January 27, 2016

— An 18-year-old man died early Wednesday in a single-vehicle wreck on Simpkins Road in Wake County, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Christopher Jose Reynaga Sanchez, of Raleigh, was driving a pickup truck east on Simpkins Road, which is in southeast Raleigh near Garner, when he crossed the center line and lost control.

The truck left the road and struck several trees. Sanchez was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, troopers said.

Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash.

No other information has been released.

I'm going to guess that Mr. Sanchez was an illegal immigrant since the odds are over 50% that I would be right in Wake County, and that he was never taught to drive safely, and likely had no insurance or license, since no one with any sense, drives around without seat belts in this country. No seat belt = ignorance. Not just ignorance but DELIBERATE ignorance since the risks are well known for driving without proper restraints. How long will I have to read "ejected from vehicle" just before hearing about a death?

Speed + no seatbelt = death. When will these young people learn and live?
