RALEIGH, N.C. — An 18-year-old man died early Wednesday in a single-vehicle wreck on Simpkins Road in Wake County, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Christopher Jose Reynaga Sanchez, of Raleigh, was driving a pickup truck east on Simpkins Road, which is in southeast Raleigh near Garner, when he crossed the center line and lost control.

The truck left the road and struck several trees. Sanchez was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, troopers said.

Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash.

No other information has been released.
